Adopt a Mountain Cur / Hound / Mixed (short coat)

Molly is a 42 lb female, Hound/Mountain Cur (mix?). She was saved from being euthanized in a pound with some other Curs that may or may not be related. Molly is under 2 years old, very friendly and sweet. Great with other dogs.

Week 1 Foster Update: In her first week Molly has come a long way. She has learned the commands Sit and Kennel. She is working on her leash manners and what are appropriate play things she finds in the house. She is most proud to have learned to navigate stairs. Molly is quiet and eager to please, as well as playful and fun. She loves her walks and chewing on a bone or bully stick.

Although curious about other dogs and people, her timidity has kept her from engaging. With the proper support to help her gain confidence, she will make an excellent companion for your family. 

Week 5 Foster Update: Molly has come so much farther in four weeks. She now has several dog and human "best friends". On our walks she wants to play with every dog she meets. She is still reserved in some new situations, but usually warms up when treats or other dogs are involved. We continue to work on leash training, but she is surprisingly good considering it is a new skill for her. She is very quiet dog. When she does bark at something it comes as a surprise, since it happens so seldom.
